Configuring Mailgun with SaltStack

I wrote up a little tutorial on how easy it is to create a SaltStack state for your servers when you want to use Mailgun as an SMTP relay.

I’m really enjoying working with SaltStack these days. It’s definitely a breath of fresh air compared to Chef. I’m sure it’s partly my bias toward Python, but Salt just seems to click in my brain much more easily. If you haven’t given it a good look yet, I highly recommend it.

Update: January 2019

SaltStack is still a solid choice for managing a bunch of servers, however I pretty much exlcusively use Docker and Kubernetes these days.
